"I was very saddened to hear about the loss of my friend, Julian Bond. Julian was a legendary, nationally-recognized life-long activist, who dedicated his career to securing and defending racial equality."

The Congressional Progressive Caucus, along with Democratic Members of the House Judiciary Committee and support from the Congressional Tri-Caucuses, are holding a forum on Family Detention this Tuesday, July 28th at 2 PM in Rayburn 2226.
Panelists will include two formerly detained women, a whistleblower who worked at a family detention center, and experts who will speak to the psychological, developmental and legal implications of current family detention policies.
