WASHINGTON, D.C.-- On Wednesday, June 7, Steven D'Antuono, former Assistant Director of the FBI Field Office, sat for a transcribed interview with the House Judiciary Committee. His testimony, which came at the insistence of Chairman Jim Jordan, gives insight into the charges pending against former President Donald Trump.
The classified documents hidden at Mar-a-Lago included documents so highly sensitive that not even the Assistant Director could read them. Mr. D'Antuono had to call in outside help to prevent further "spillage" of those classified materials.
"Thank you, Mr. Chairman. It took just over five months, but the day that so many of my Republican colleagues have waited for has finally arrived. Today, Judiciary Republicans are laying the groundwork to impeach the Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
WASHINGTON, D.C.-Last night, Judiciary Committee Republicans released a cherrypicked "report" about the Intelligence Community, the 2020 Trump campaign, and Hunter Biden's laptop. The "report" ignores important evidence and restates claims that have been repeatedly disproven. Chairman Jim Jordan claims that a single email from former CIA analyst and author David Cariens to Republican staff proves that the CIA approached Cariens about signing an October 19 letter about Hunter Biden's laptop. Chairman Jordan has overpromised and underdelivered to the MAGA extremists once again.
"Mr. Chairman, today this Committee finally gets back to the serious work of keeping Americans safe-safe from those who seek to do us harm and safe from those who might trample on our civil liberties in a quest to keep our country secure, no matter the cost.
"Mr. Chairman, the United States Patent and Trademark Office plays a vital role in fostering innovation in this country. The thousands of employees who examine patent and trademark applications are truly at the forefront of helping to bring new technologies and new companies into existence, each with the potential of being the next game-changer or Fortune 500 company.
"Mr. Chairman, today's hearing would have been more appropriate to conduct last week, before the Republican Majority marked up its extreme enforcement-only immigration legislation.
"In an effort to smear Secretary Blinken and sensationalize a three-year-old tabloid story, Jim Jordan has released cherry-picked excerpts of a transcribed interview. To be clear, no part of that interview demonstrates that Tony Blinken or any other Biden campaign official asked Mike Morell to write a letter about Hunter Biden's laptop.
