Today, the Ranking Members of the Committees on Oversight and Government Reform, Education and the Workforce, and the Judiciary wrote to Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa urging him to withdraw his unilateral subpoena demanding documents from the National Labor Relations Board relating to its investigation of Boeing's alleged discrimination against workers in Washington State.

Today, House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member John Conyers, Jr. (D-Mich.) called H.R. 2497, the "Hinder the Administration's Legalization Temptation Act", which would suspend the authority of the Executive Branch to use current immigration law to grant or extend certain forms of immigration relief in order to prevent it from granting "backdoor amnesty", an attack on President Obama and legal immigrants that ignores his Administration's record of immigration enforcement.
Today, Judiciary Committee Ranking Member John Conyers, Jr. (D-Mich.) criticized the Republican "Cut, Cap, and Balance" Act – an ideological assault on our democratic institutions that would eviscerate critical federal programs, including Social Security and Medicare.
