Washington, D.C. – Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and Ranking Member Doug Collins (R-GA) praised the House passage of H.R. 4803, theCitizenship for Children of Military Members and Civil Servants Act, bipartisan legislationintroduced by the Chairman and the Ranking Member that fixes a problem in current citizenship laws thatmakes it difficult for children born abroad-and who are residing abroad because of a parent's service commitment-to establish residency for purposes of acquiring U.S.

Washington, D.C. –Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 4018 to provide the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) the authority to transfer eligible, elderly offenders from a BOP facility into home confinement when these individuals have reached 60 years of age and served two-thirds of the terms of imprisonment they were sentenced to. Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) sent letters to President Donald Trump and House Judiciary Ranking Member Doug Collins (R-GA) regarding certain privileges afforded to them under House Resolution 660. Chairman Nadler has asked both the President and the Ranking Member to provide notice to the Committee of their intent to exercise these privileges no later than December 6, 2019.
